Pressing E while looking at another player used to fire both a trade request and a party invite under the hood. The ability system blocked the duplicates, but the friction (and log noise) was real. We split them out.
- T — sends a trade request to the player you’re aiming at.
- P — sends a party invite to the player you’re aiming at.
- E — back to its one true job: looting honey, harvesting resources, talking to NPCs, opening chests.
Pressing T or P with no valid target (looking at the sky, a tree, an NPC, a chest) does nothing. Inviting via the party panel by typing a player name still works exactly as before.
Behind the scenes, the input pipeline has been rewired through Unreal’s Enhanced Input system — so a future Settings menu can let you remap T, P, and any other action to whichever keys you want.
