Let's be honest — after August 2022, things went quiet. We took over a year to step back, rethink, and plan what we really wanted this game to be. It wasn't abandonment; it was a necessary pause. We came back stronger, and the results speak for themselves.
In November 2023, we kicked things off with a massive engine upgrade to Unreal Engine 5.3. Better rendering, smoother performance, and a cleaner codebase to build on. We followed that up with a dynamic weather system — rain, snow, storms, a full day/night cycle, puddles forming on the ground, and footprints in fresh snow. The world went from static to alive overnight.
December 2023 brought brand new character models for both male and female humans, with improved head meshes, multiple hair colors, and makeup options. We also overhauled the entire movement system with WASD controls, jumping, and fluid combat animations. It felt like a completely different game.
By January 2024, we added a stamina system, improved ability shortcuts, and polished the inventory. The landscape got a complete overhaul, and we began work on localization to make the game accessible to players around the world. After 14 months of silence, the project wasn't just alive — it was reborn.
