Inventory micro-friction quietly piles up. We spent two weeks knocking it out.
Unified drop convention
No matter where you drop an item — bag slot, merchant window, recycle bin, trade partner, container item, open container UI — the same three rules now apply:
- Ctrl + drop → transfer exactly 1, instantly
- Shift + drop → transfer the full source stack, instantly
- No modifier → opens the Ask-Quantity prompt for stacks > 1, transfers immediately for single items
Drag in, drag out
You can now drag items out of an open container directly into your main inventory (previously this required right-click). You can also drag a stack onto a container item sitting in your bag (e.g., a Satchel) to transfer a partial amount.
Stack-onto-container fix
Dropping a stack onto a container-type item used to silently move only one. That’s fixed — the container now receives the exact amount the prompt returns, and Shift-drop properly moves the full stack.
Silent failures got their voice back
Drag-onto-container drops now show the right error when something doesn’t fit:
- “Container is full.”
- “This item cannot be stored in this container.”
- “Containers cannot be placed inside other containers.”
- “Not enough inventory space.”
Recipe Book slot rendering
Recipe Books and other item containers were rendering with a completely empty slot grid after a deposit. Items were safely stored on the server, but you couldn’t see them until logout/login. The container UI now correctly renders its full slot grid in every situation.
Trade receipts
NPC trades print a clearer chat receipt — header, item line (“5 Bread Bought” / “3 Herb Sold”), gold change, separator — so each transaction reads as one block.
Settings cursor snap fix
Clicking Graphics / Sound / Game / System tabs in the Settings menu used to teleport your mouse to screen center. Fixed.
